-   Participated in Unspoken, a poetry presentation accessible to all with hearing and vision abilities

1983:  my collection won the Norma Epstein Award for Creative Writing, Poetry, at University College, University of Toronto while I was a student in 3rd year (Honours BA in Modern Languages & Literature)
